Fans of green bay still remain to see whether the 39 year old Brett Favre will really retire after declaring it again. He has in the past announced it but went in to playing again.

With an injury on his right shoulder Favre says he cannot play anymore and it is the right time for him to retire from NFL, even though many do not believe him. Favre suffered the injury at Seattle in December 21st during a game in which they lost 13-3. It will be remembered that last year, Favre held an emotional press conference in which he announced his retirement move but later changed his mind during summer a move that saw him land at New York jets.

Despite of Favre playing for New York jets, the green bay packers want to honour him by retiring his no.4 jersey at their own time and even say the player who has an experience of 18 years still holds a special place in packers and so he is welcomed anytime he wants to come back.

Favre believes that his return to packers some day will be impacted by the presence of the general manager Ted Thompson, who traded him to New York jets. Even though the hate and rage he feels for Thompson is evident Favre says he holds no bad feelings for the move Thompson made and that it is just what people are speculating.

Initially Favre had wanted to move to Minnesota but packers through Thompson sold him to New York jets because they had signed a marketing deal with him. That explains the hatred that exists between the two.

The president and chief executive owner of the packers Mark Murphy however says that they are still considering placing a multi million dollar marketing agreement should the player decide to stop playing for good. A deal that he was offered last summer but declined.

Favre has spent 16 good seasons at packers and was the first player to win three MVP awards and took the team to consecutive super bowls that led to their win in the 1996 championship season. Favre’s best season was when he led green bay to a 13-3 record within a Super Bowl game in 2007 before he decided to step aside making the packers to pick Aaron Rodgers.

Favre expresses that he will never regret completing his career at packers and ever playing with the jets. He says that he cannot throw the ball the way he used to, an even more reason as to why he should leave. Favre sure looks satisfied with playing. He has had it all, the awards, share of mistakes and lucky breaks. He says he is sure that he can never trade his career with anything.

Green bay packers are left with a decision of resigning Mark Tauscher, and finding a new defensive coach after head coach mike McCarthy sacked Bob Sanders. Their fans are left to see what the officials will do to improve the performance in the team.

Healthy Lifestyles, Pollution, Child Sickness – Still Much To Be Done

Researchers at the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta have confirmed, based on World Health Organization studies, that from 8,000 to 24,000 new cases of cancer occur in Canada yearly due to pollution. This finding is a shock to Canadians who recycle, bicycle or walk whenever possible. But rampant industrialized waste and a lack still, of stringent enough regulations, are causing misery among those exposed to these toxins.

If this is happening in pristine Canada, how is your national back yard? We all need to be aware of toxins in our own home, under the sink, in the basement or garage. If is has been simmering away for some time, take it away. Recycling depots are now common, but we learn all too common is that those toxic expensive bits are pulled out by hand in Asia, and then the plastic burnt off to salvage the copper wire, that smoke and ash drifting across the Pacific onto Americas forests and into Americas lungs.

By the billions, as you can imagine, and increasing daily. Like the world temperature, merrily skipping upward. Is any one able to measure those skipping upward numbers by the time and let us know when the sea will be up to our ankles? Our knees? When should we open a gondola franchise?

There is hope. And even while additional mineral and oil sands projects go into higher gear, we need to ensure that we become world leaders, not followers, in helping create a greener world. That U.N. World Clock is ticking, showing how the earth average temperature is now 14.1 something to the tenth power.

And it is those farthest numbers to the right that we should be paying more attention: they are merrily skipping upwards as you watch. No up or down movement at any time you watch. Especially, we in the west need to clean up our act, and then help the developers such as China and India with our technology: common reason must prevail.

And if babies are being stillborn in healthy Canada due to pollution, imagine how bad and worse it is getting in so many third world nations, where bribes to officials still allow ecological nightmares.

We all breath the same air and share the ocean wastes. We need to grow up and accept that there is not a potty section in the pool any more. Let us be aware that we need to personally do all we can to green up, but also to encourage our governments, at every level, to get off the pot. Or out of the pool. Or at least clean up after.
