Green energy sources and their amazing benefits
From heat to our homes, gas for our cars, and all around electricity usage. For what seems to be an eternity, we have been dependent upon fossil fuels alone. And only now after using fossil fuels for so long, we have become more dependent upon them than ever. Our planet is slowly dying as we are quickly depleting our resources, our lifeline, and our home. Fortunately we are now becoming more aware of the obvious green energy sources available to us.
The difference with green energy sources, is that not all of them are practical in every geographical area. But luckily there are many different sources of green energy, all of which do not produce anything harmful which may have a negative effect on our environment. These sources include wave, solar, wind, geothermal, and hydropower. But just for a moment, think about all the electricity we do use today, almost 80% of electricity is produced by coal or nuclear power plant. Do you think these sources create a livable environment for future generations to come?
With coal releasing carbon dioxide into the air, it may not sound so bad it first. When you think about it when you walk outside you can still see 10 feet in front you. The air can be that polluted can it? But there are more than 50,000 coal plants all over the world and if we don’t prove green energy will work today, that number will grow.
At first glance, nuclear energy may seem like an easy solution to our energy crisis. I mean in doesn release anything harmful into the air and its efficiency is superb when it comes to generating electricity. The issue that comes to mind is, do we really have a clean and effective way to dispose of the radioactive nuclear waste that is the byproduct of a nuclear plant.
Green energy sources give us the freedom that we not only desire, but that we deserve. Green energy sources are 100% renewable and this is paramount in our current economic situation. If you don’t take your part, are you really willing to live knowing that you could have created a better tomorrow for your children and your children’s children.
Do your part, the technology is here, don’t let anyone tell you that it’s not. The technology has been here, but our ability to make it more efficient and harness it to its fullest extent, is something that we as a generation have actually accomplished.
Clean, efficient, reliable, 100% renewable. The world’s greatest accomplishment yet is standing right in front of us waiting for someone to reach out and grab it. It is the solution to our environmental, political, and social rifts of this lifetime.
