Like I said, I personally know the local farmers who grow a lot of my food and have worked on some of their farms. Their are no sprays of any kind used and the soil is pristine. As for the ancient grain varieties Quinoa, Teff, Amaranth, Kamut, Spelt, Millet, Buckwheat, Barley, Rye, Einkorn, Emmer (farro). Those are the ones I eat, they are very nutritious taste great. It’s hard to find some truly organic grains but I get whatï»¿ I can.

Homegrown/private gardening food is not grown to same standards to what we call commercial organic (ie. as certified by relevant trade association – eg. Soil Association in the UK). Soilï»¿ Association only restricts the amount/type of pesticide. Which particular ancient grain varieties were you referring to?

The food I grow is pesticide free, and I personally know the local organic growers that Iï»¿ buy from. As for grains people need to start eating ancient grain varieties if they want some real nutrition.

Of course you can get top quality organic grain but the vast majority of it is poor in other ways. For example inelastic grain doesn’t bother animals (and makes good dog biscuits) or one-eyed organic buyers. Another thing, organic food isï»¿ NOT pesticide free.
