neem oil is very good to control pests and its considered organic!, I grow a system in my back yard and neem oil and use whole milk to control powdery mildew on my veggies and has done the trick!

Most hydroponicly grown crops do not need pesticides because they can be grown indoors. There are lots of hydroponic crops have all the saftey, extra nutrition, great taste, and environmental benefits of organic food, but many hydroponic growers can’t get certification because some states require certified organic crops to use soil. Bullshit, if you ask me.

organic is a plant that is grown in a medium derived from composted plant and/or animals materials and receives is nutes from the sustrate. there are some growing medium that can be certified organic, like cocunut and tree bark material: cocotek, rapid rooter, are some, but most hydroponic mediums are inert like hydroton, perlite, rockwool, silica rock these cant be certified as organic, the medium may be natural from the earth but organic is defined as derived from plant and/or animal materials
